Three held with intoxicant syrup bottles

The police have arrested three persons and recovered a huge quantity of intoxicant syrup from their possession. They have been identified as Shakib, Faqir Mohammad and Aslam, all residents of Malerkotla.

Khanna SP(I) Jasvir Singh said a police party, led by City-2 SHO Jasvir Singh, stopped three persons coming from the Gobindgarh side for checking at a mobile naka set up on GT Road near Pristine Mall. They had alighted from a vehicle in the service lane. Their checking yielded 270 bottles of an intoxicant, BINRAX, kept in bags.

Mukesh Kumar, DSP (H), was also present at the spot when the seizure was made. A case under Section 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the suspects.
