LUDHIANA, February 19

A few burglars reportedly broke into a liquor store at Palm Enclave at Sangowal village and decamped with Rs 65,000.

Interestingly, they drank beers worth Rs 900 before leaving the place. Sources said the theft took place at ‘Liquor World’ store.

When owner Vikas Sharma visited his store on February 17, he found that around Rs 65,000 were stolen. The digital video recorder of CCTV cameras was also missing, said the police.

Some empty bottles of beer were also lying there, the police said. A case under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered.
