Table tennis tourney from May 3 to 5

The 3rd edition of Manna Singh Memorial Open Punjab Table Tennis Tournament will be organised from May 3 to 5 here at Shastri Hall near Guru Nanak Stadium.

Manmeet Singh, former table tennis player and sports promoter, said the tournament would be held under the aegis of the Ludhiana District Table Tennis Association (LDTTA), wherein competition would be held in the boys’ and girls’ sections (kids U-10, cadet U-12, sub-junior U-15 and junior U-18) in addition to men’s and women’s categories as well as for veterans (above 39 years).

Players have been advised to bring their age-proof certificates. Entry fee for participation is Rs300 for the first event and Rs200 for every additional event with lunch.

Cash prizes will be given to the winners and first runners-up in each event, said Singh.
