An NGO on Wednesday alleged that mamangement of a private school was misusing land allotted for school to conduct religious functions.

President of Judge Advocate Pidit Organisation Subhash Kundra alleged that management of SAN Jain School, Daresi, was misusing school land to conduct religous ceremony.

He said a religious function will be organised in school area where children play and will continue for four months. He said the land allotted for school and a hospital should not be allowed to be used for organising religous functions.

SAN Jain School, management committee members said, the hall where a function will be organised is far away and will not have any adverse impact on studies of children.

Rajinder Jain, another member of the commitee said, “The function will be held at a hall which is at a distance from school building. Moreover, religion and education are not separate entities. As esteemed personalities will attend the ceremony, students will get an opportunity to learn spiritual lessons.”
