Student wins handball c’ship

LUDHIANA: Trimanpreet Kaur, a student of  Class VIII of Spring Dale has been selected for the 64th National Level Handball Championship to be held at SiddipetTelangana in U-17 category. After giving outstanding performance and tough competition to her competitors in the State Level Triman is now ready to shine at National Level. The managing director Avinash Kaur Walia congratulated and gave best wishes to Triman for this event. The Director Kamalpreet Kaur along with Principal Anil Kumar Sharma also gave their best wishes to Triman for the same. 

U-14 Basketball Tourney winners

Proud moments dawned upon DCM Presidency School when the under -14 basketball team bagged the esteemed trophy of Basketball state Championship held at Bathinda on 16th January 2019. The notable achievement was felicitated with much delectation by the team members. The Principal of the school Rajni Kalra  extended her congratulations to the winning team and their parents with the kind words ‘You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.’

Students sensitised to cyber crime

Setting a strong mechanism against cyber crime, Inspector Brij Mohan (SHO, Sarabha Nagar) with his team, conducted an interactive session for saving students being vulnerable to cyber crime because of their inquisitiveness, curiosity and inadequate awareness. Cyber crime as computer crime is an increasing mal- practice, which includes hacking of websites and bank accounts, cyber terrorism, use of social networking to bully others. These were the key concepts under discussion. For developing consciousness and making the students safe and responsible users of internet, they were familiarised with the ways of keeping personal data safe, getting aid from cyber cell and escaping from e-mail mischiefs. The students were guided not to open unknown links, sharing personal information and were appri making use of two factor authentification and strong passwords. TNS
