Sister lodges FIR against brother

Ludhiana: Ashu, a resident of Sita Nagar here, has lodged a complaint against her own brother, Kapil Sharma, a resident of New Punit Nagar, Tajpur Road, for allegedly defaming her and her son on the social media by creating their fake IDs. According to the complainant, Kapil created her fake ID and was sending obscene messages to her and her son, Shivam. A case has been registered under Sections 354 D and 506 of the IPC. TNS

Biker hit by car, dies on way to hospital

Ludhiana: Parminder Singh, a resident of Majri village here, has lodged an FIR against an unidentified person who killed his father in a hit-and-run accident. Parminder said on June 20, he, along with his father Ajmer Singh, had gone to Dheri village on separate motorcycles. At around 9 pm when they reached near Hardy’s World, a speeding car coming from the Phillaur side rammed his father’s bike and he fell down. Ajmer died on the way to Civil Hospital. TNS

Proclaimed offender held

Ludhiana: The police have arrested Suraj Kumar, a resident of a village near Phillaur, who recently jumped parole and was declared a proclaimed offender. He was produced before the court that sent him back to jail. TNS
