Shrey tops dist in JEE (M) with 99.99 percentile

The result of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) was declared today. City-based Shrey Singla has topped the district with 99.99 percentile. Another student, Uday Singla, has got 99.984 percentile.

Shrey Singla, a student of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, said his hard work, dedication and help from his teachers and family are behind his success.

My dream is to take admission in the Indian Institute of Technology and do computer engineering.

Shrey said he used to study for seven-eight hours daily and also take coaching for the exam at Chandigarh. “My Principal, Paramjeet Madam, my class teacher, Nikhil Sir, all helped me to achieve the top result,” he said.

Uday Singla, student of Alpine International School, got 99.984 percentile. “My dream institute is the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and I will be choosing electrical or computer science,” he said.

It was consistent study for six or seven hours daily which paid off in the long run for Uday. “I owe my success to my mother Dimple Singla and my teacher Vikas Sir,” said Uday.

Other students from BCM School who managed to hit the bull’s eye are Kannav with 99.92 percentile and Aansh with 99.83 percentile.

Kannav, who is yet to decide which stream he will be selecting, said he owed his success to his parents and teachers and used to study for six or seven hours daily.

Meanwhile, the other students from the city who have managed to get 99 percentile are Gun Sagar with 99.921, Akashdeep with 99.85, Kartika Arora with 99.68, Taranjot with 99.45, Arjun Kaithal with 99.411, Shreya Gupta with 99.278, Manish with 99.117 and Hardeep Kaur with 99.045 percentile.

Three students Ishan Sharma, Arjun Kathail and Dhriti Gupta of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, brought laurels for the school by grabbing above 99 percentile.

“The mighty students from science stream left no stone unturned to enhance the glory of the school with their unbeatable scores in JEE (Main) 2019. The talented trio is all geared up to perform equally well in JEE (Advance) 2019,” said Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar.
