Khamano (OC): A woman of Ratton village, near here, died of swine flu at the PGI, Chandigarh, on Thursday. She has been identified as Sarabjit Kaur (55). The SMO of Sanghol, Dr Naresh Chauhan, said the woman was suffering from swine flu. Dr Chauhan said they had given medicines to the members of Sarabjit’s family. The SDM of Khamano, Paramjit Singh, said he had convened a meeting of the health officials for Friday. They would create awareness among people on measures to prevent this deadly disease. Lakhvir Singh of the town had died of swine flu some days ago.
