SDM directs govt depts to take part in R-Day activities

Republic Day celebrations are no longer a routine affair for officials of various government departments and educational institutes.

Ahmedgarh SDM Preety Yadav, has directed rank and file in all departments to contribute active role for the Republic Day which is scheduled to be celebrated at Government School, Jandali Kalan, situated on outskirts of the town.

Directions were issued during concluding session of maiden meeting of heads of all educational institutes and government departments.

“Everyone should realise that it is not a routine chore which we perform during our office hours. As it is national event, we all should mark it is our topmost priority,” said Dr Preety Yadav. She advised her staff to seek explanation from those officials who did not bother to attend the meeting.

The Block Development and Panchayat Officer and Child Development Project Officer will be looking after the Rangoli and decoration work whereas the Forest Range Officer will arrange at least fifty flower pots for renovation of the stage and the surroundings.
