Sacred Heart lad selected for national football tourney

Lovish Kumar and Kavish Aneja, Class XII students of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sahnewal, participated in the CISCE national football tournament held at Kolkata.

Lovish has been selected to compete in the U-19 football tournament to be organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in November at Andaman Nicobar. Students from schools affiliated to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) and Navidaya Vidyalaya among others, and organisations across the country, will participate in the games.

Lovish gave a stupendous performance and was selected to represent the CISCE football team at the SGFI nationals. The school director, William, and principal Crispin, lauded the achievement of the boys and their coach Gurjit Singh. They advised students to take part in sports for all-round development.
