A high-tech robotics laboratory was inaugurated at BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, with the aim to provide students a platform to learn the concepts of mathematics and physics using robots.

The executive director of STEP Education and Assistant Professor (Electricals) at GNE College, Ludhiana, Dr Arvind Dhingra, was the chief guest of the event. He lauded the efforts of school authorities for taking up the initiative to develop a scientific temperament among students at an early age.

The lab is a powerful STEM learning solution for students which combines LEGO bricks, coding language based on Scratch and a programmable multi-port hub to help every learner become a confident learner.

The main features of the programme are to explore mechanics, electronics, IOT (Internet of Things), electricals, drones and learning through other concrete materials.

Students of primary school were provided an engaging hands-on experience to explore core STEM concepts and link them to the world, while the students of secondary school got an insight into experiences that stimulate communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking skills.
