There seems to be no respite for railway passengers as most of the long and trunk route trains were rescheduled due to adverse weather.
As many as 10 trains had to be rescheduled on Sunday while one train was diverted to an alternate route. Around two dozen trains, including a few on trunk route of Amritsar-Ludhiana-New Delhi, were running behind their schedule thus causing inconvenience to passengers.
According to railway officials, 12014 Amritsar-New Delhi Shatabdi Express, 12460 Amritsar-New Delhi Intercity Express, 12497 New Delhi-Amritsar Shane-Punjab Express and 12054 Amritsar-Haridwar Janshatbdi Express were running late by 40 minutes to an hour.
Further, 13006 Amritsar-Howrah Mail (8.50 hours), 01708 Attari-Jabalpur Special Express (7.15 8.50 hours), 12203 Saharsa-Amritsar Garib Rath (1.20 8.50 hours), 12208 Jammu Tawi-Kathgodam Garib Rath (2.30 8.50 hours), 12332 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Himgiri Express (4 8.50 hours), 12491 Barauni-Jammu Tawi Maur Dhwaj Express (5 8.50 hours), 13152 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Sealdah Express (4 8.50 hours), 14649 Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu Yamuna Express (2.30 8.50 hours), 15210 Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Express and 22424 Amritsar-Gorakhpur Jansadharn Express (2.55 8.50 hours) were rearranged.
