As a part of the ongoing National Postal Week celebration by the Postal Department, the RMS ‘LD’ Division Ludhiana celebrated Mail Day here today.

Students of GMT Public School and Decent Public School, Ludhiana, visited the Ludhiana Mail Office. They were made aware about the mail processing. On this occasion, letter-writing was also promoted as a hobby. A letter and essay writing competition was organised. Students were keenly interested in competition.

In the junior category, Arshdeep Kaur secured the first position (Decent Public School), Aman secured the second position (Decent Public School) and third position was secured by Khushpreet Kaur (GMT Public School). Under the senior category, Pallvi Mehra of Decent Public School was first, Vibha of GMT School was second and Dishant Chauhan of GMT secured the third position.

DK Tripathi, Senior Superintendent, RMS ‘LD’ Division Ludhiana, gave away prizes to the winner and consolation prizes were also distributed among all participants. Gurdev Singh, Ludhiana RMS Superintendent, Ludhiana RMS Assistant Superintendent Ravita Kumari, Ludhiana Railway Mail Service Inspector Parwinder Singh, Ludhiana HRO Surinder Kumar took active part in the celebrations.

Notably, yesterday department had celebrated business development day.
