BlackBuck, an online marketplace for trucking, announced the launch of a new portal — www.ewaybill.com — to enable a transition of the logistics industry into the e-way bill regime.

Traders who are not fluent in technology are looking forward to the portal. The Bill will be applicable from February 1.

Consigner, consignee and transporter can generate e-way bill starting 1 February, 2018. Registrations are open from today i.e. January 11, 2018. Once registered, the users will be assisted through the e-way bill generation process. Users can go to www.ewaybill.com to register.

As the government makes the generation of e-way bill mandatory, BlackBuck has taken the first step to launch a portal which will be a one-stop solution for all e-way bill -related needs of the logistics industry. The portal (ewaybill.com) is built to handle high-frequency transactions and is easy to use. It also has a FAQs section to answer queries related to e-way bill.

The initial subscription to the portal for all services is free. Speaking on the development, Rajesh Yabaji, Co-Founder and CEO, BlackBuck, said: “e-way bill is a powerful instrument to help the GST achieve its goal of one nation, tax and market. Every shipment will have a unique identification number made available online, which will help the government control tax evasion, save tax payers and trucker’s time at the check-post and will drive the industry to be more organised.”

Gautam Arora, an inter-state trader, said he would try his hand at the portal to get himself registered for the e-way bill. “I am not technologically updated and with this portal offering the service free, I will first my hand at this before hiring a professional service for the same,” said he.
