Plantation drive at Katani Kalan college

Samrala, May 21

The Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology, Katani Kalan, organised a plantation drive on its premises.

Collage-making and poster-making competition was organised. Chairman Vijay Gupta, Principal Pawan Kumar, Director JS Sohal, head of all departments, faculty members and students participated in the drive.

Chairman Gupta said society should try to save the environment. He said it was high time to conserve the planet otherwise next generation would face dire consequences.

Kumar said the aim of organising the drive was to make the students aware about the hazards of pollution and the need for planting more trees. He also promoted the usage of paper bags and making the city plastic-free. — OC
