PCTE gets approval to start B Sc Agriculture

Ludhiana: PCTE has received approval from the Punjab Technical University for starting BSc Agriculture.

Ludhiana: PCTE has received approval from the Punjab Technical University for starting BSc Agriculture. The course will help the students to study in detail about the use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture. This course will also help them to perform better in their farms with better practical training and knowledge. The course duration is for four years with 60 seats. The college has allocated 15 acre of experimental farm for research and practical training of the students. 

PIFT students make Miniature models

Students of interior design batches of PIFT (Pinnacle Institute of Fashion Technology) made miniature models based on historical era (Muslim architecture and French architecture individually). For the Muslim architecture, the students made mosque and named it as ‘Alla Nusb Thidkari’. The domes were made from the bottle caps, carving has been done by students and to give it attractive look lighting has been done. Students enjoyed the workshop and learned the basics of the era too. The whole project was completed in seven days. To boost up the moral of students, PIFT management invited Jivanjot Singh , electrical consultant and lighting designer to have an interactive session with the students and have a quick question and answer session.

Youth to share views on social, political issues

With a vision to create young energetic leaders for the society, which are socially and politically aware, a press conference was held on Friday, to officially launch ‘Speaking Minds Youth Conclave’ in Ludhiana from August 2 and August 3. Gauravdeep Singh, the founder president of the organisation, officially launched the conclave. Arushi Setia, a member of the organisation said:  “Speaking Minds Youth Conclave 2018 is a platform which will bring together 2,000 youngsters from all over Punjab to interact on various social and political issues.”

The course of the conclave, various Panel discussions will take place on  topics such as defining nationalism, role of youth in senior level politics and role of creative industry in the youth development of the country . — TNS
