Patriotic fervour runs high in schools

LUDHIANA: Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, hoisted the national flag on the occasion of Republic Day.

Ludhiana, January 27

Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, hoisted the national flag on the occasion of Republic Day. Students took oath to perform their duties for the country. Patriotic songs and speeches left everyone awestruck and spread the message of brotherhood. Children of BVM, Chandigarh Road, and Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated 70th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour.

Ryan International School

Students of Ryan International School, Ludhiana, celebrated Republic Day on January 26 with great zeal and patriotism. Lt Colonel Nirpal Singh Grewal, hoisted the national flag, followed by National Anthem. The day began by seeking blessings of the Almighty. Medley of patriotic songs by Class VI to VIII students filled the environment with a message of unity. Tiny Tots of Montessori section gave a presentation on “National symbols”. Foot tapping patriotic dance was performed by the Ryanites of Class II-III. Highlight of the day was a skit “Fundamental Rights and Duties”.

BCM School

BCM School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated 70th Republic Day. Lieutenant General GS Shergill from the Sikh Regiment was the chief guest and hoisted the tricolour. NCC cadets held a march past and pledged to uphold honour and integrity of the national flag. The school band presented a meticulous performance on “Sare Jahan Se Achha”.

Green Land Convent School, Dugri

Students of Greenland Convent School, Dugri, celebrated 70th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The event commenced with unfurling of the national flag by Shabad Rudhra, president, Chain of Greenland Schools, along with school director Vijayata Rudhra. This was followed by a tribute to “Bharat Mata” and a march past by the NCC wing. The atmosphere brimmed with a feeling of pride as students performed dance on numerous patriotic songs. The whole atmosphere was filled with patriotic fervour at Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar. Students of primary classes participated in an inter-class fancy dress competition. Tiny tots came in attire of national leaders, freedom fighters, armed forces, national symbols and national heroes.

Guru Nanak Public School, Mullanpur

Students of Guru Nanak Public School, Mullanpur, celebrated Republic Day with fervour. Class II students recited a patriotic poem. Students of Class III to VIII performed a group song, including Punjabi songs to depict their love for the country.

Manav Rachna International School

Students of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana, celebrated 70th Republic Day. The day commenced with the blessing of the Almighty. Students delivered a speech on relevance of the Indian Constitution. A special assembly was organised by students on the occasion. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning. School band performed a medley of patriotic songs. A quiz competition was held and students were showcased videos highlighting the significance of the Republic Day

Kinderpillar Ivy School

Kinderpillar Ivy School, Brewal Road, celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour. Students presented patriotic songs, dance, speeches and performed a skit as well on the occasion. Students showcased their creativity and designing skills by making tricolour badges and caps.Tiny tots came dressed in patriotic theme, including Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and Mahatma Gandhi.

Green Grove, Doraha

Green Grove Public School celebrated Republic Day with great zeal. JPS Jolly was the chief guest on the occasion and hoisted the national flag. The choir group presented patriotic songs. Students A power-point presentation on glimpses of parade and other events of the Republic Day was a treat for all.

Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School

Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School, Sahnewal, celebrated 70th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The freezing weather failed to dampen the spirits of students and staff. William Sahota, director of the school, was the chief guest. The event began with hoisting of the national flag. The school echoed with patriotic fervour. The event began with a patriotic group song “Sare Jahan Se Accha”.
