Panic grips Khanna as four dengue deaths suspected

Panic had gripped Khanna and its surrounding areas after four dengue deaths were reported in three days. However, the Health Department had not confirmed any death due to dengue in the area so far. 

A woman identified as Kamla Devi (50) of Saloudi village died at Civil Hospital Khanna allegedly due to dengue symptoms. Yesterday, two youths, Sukhbir Singh (25) and Mohan Singh (30), both residents of Basant Nagar Khanna, had died due to symptoms similar to that of dengue. On Tuesday, a woman of Gaushala Road, Nona, had also died. The Health Department is yet to confirm these deaths due to dengue. 

The SMO of Khanna stated that no dengue death had taken place so far and as per any information received they were sending teams to collect information from the families of deceased persons.
