Ludhiana, May 22

Working on Government of India campaign, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, the NSS wing of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), conducted a beautification drive in the administrative block on the campus.

The volunteers cleaned the garden areas and then other areas around the campus to plant flowers, trees and perennials.

“It is great that everyone has come together for a common cause,” said Dr Sivakumar, NSS College Coordinator. Later, the students adopted the old method of sealing tree trunks and protecting them from damage by painting them white.

The Director Students’ Welfare, Dr Satyavan Rampal, said, “Such programmes strive to ensure that environment is taken care of. This also provides a challenging task to students as it will foster innovation, integrity and teamwork in among them.”
