Ludhiana, January 2

On the lines of the famous show Koffee with Karan, hosted by the famous producer and director Karan Johar, the city-based environmentalist Dr Balwinder Singh Lakhewali, along with EcoSikh, an environmental NGO, has taken the initiative to make people aware of trees and plants around them, through his videos.

The video series would apprise people of trees, plants and flora across Punjab, to create awareness, among people, he said.

Though Lakhewali has already been posting live videos on his Facebook page, giving impromptu information about trees and flora for a long time, the series would have more detailed visual information. “While shooting the live videos, it was not possible to show close-ups of the plants, from different angles, but now through these videos, there would be better details, presented in interesting and concise videos spanning for about 5 to 8 minutes,” he said.

“Nature lovers would also get to know about technical details of the right season for plantation, apart from other details,” he said.

“Through these series, we would try to make plants become a part of our personal life and space, and fill our life with fragrance, beauty and health. Their need in every individual’s life is indispensable,” he said.
