Ludhiana, February 20

The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has formed nine teams to check the unauthorised hoardings, posters and other campaigning material installed at private properties in the city.

Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Satwant Singh stated that each team has been attached to nine Returning Officers.

The teams formed by the Municipal Corporation have already started efforts to identify and remove unauthorised hoardings at private properties.

The teams would question the owners of private properties where the hoardings are found to be installed whether the candidate has taken permission from them for putting up the hoardings or posters and if they have taken consent, the complete details will be procured.

The information is being sent to Returning Officer concerned so that expenditure could be calculated into candidates’ account, informed Satwant Singh.

He said in case the candidate has not taken the permission from the owner, the horading or posters would be removed with immediate effect.
