An anganwari worker died in a road accident near Bhari at Khamano. The deceased has been identified as Ram Piari, (54) a resident of Khamano.

As per information, Ram Piari was serving as an anganwari worker at Ajner village. She left for Khamano on her scooty. When she reached near Bhari, a car hit her near a turn, resulting in serious injuries to her.

She was rushed to Civil Hospital Khamano from where she was referred to the Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib, where she was declared dead by the doctors in the evening. The body of deceased was handed over to her guardians after post mortem. As per the SHO Kheri Naudh Singh, the police had registered a case of negligence against the car driver who managed to escape from the site.
