70 take Veterinary Oath at GADVASU

LUDHIANA: The College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), held an oath taking ceremony of 70 passing out veterinary graduates of the batch 2014.

The College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), held an oath taking ceremony of 70 passing out veterinary graduates of the batch 2014.

Sarvpreet Ghuman, professor and head of the Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, shared the achievements of students who had brought laurels to the university in the field of academics, sports and extra-curricular activities.

Prakash Singh Brar, dean of the College of Veterinary Science, administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates and asked them to practice in line with the principles of veterinary ethics covered in the oath. He encouraged students to take part in extra-curricular activities to keep themselves happy and healthy in life, besides their duty towards the profession.

JPS Gill, director of research, was the chief guest of the ceremony. He awarded degree certificates to the passing out graduates. He advised the students to keep in touch with their alma mater for recent developments in the profession and for honing their professional skills.

A Veterinary Alumni Registration System of the college was also launched to facilitate the alumni in strengthening their roots with the parent organisation. Passing out graduates Bharti Raj Singh and Varinder Saini expressed their gratitude towards untiring efforts of the faculty and staff. They also shared their experiences of the five-year stay in the university. Faculty wished the graduates luck for future endeavours.
