Ludhiana, May 19

Summer fun was awaiting the Kukreja family in Bali and they were also getting cheaper options for flying out, but putting their right to vote ahead of their vacations is what they did.

Harjinder and Harkirat, along with their kids, today left for Bali from the Amritsar airport after casting their vote and the family was proud of doing so.

“After exams, children were eager for their vacation, but we waited for the election day and left only after casting our vote,” said city resident Harjinder Singh Kukreja.

“We feel blessed to have voted and participated in the world’s largest elections. Voting is an honour we bestow on ourselves and we feel we have just done that. We also wanted to set an example before our kids so that they know how to set their priorities in their lives,” said Harkirat Kaur Kukreja.
