Ludhiana, May 17

The SAD-BJP candidate from Ludhiana, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, today carried out a roadshow in the walled city.

Accompanied by Akali and BJP workers, the roadshow started from Division Number 3 area and culminated at Clock Tower.

The entire route was decorated with SAD-BJP flags and posters of Grewal and Modi with cheering supporters on the sides.

Grewal claimed that he was confident of winning by a margin of over two lakh votes. He said while the People’s Democratic Alliance candidate Simarjit Singh Bains would not be able to save his security deposit, Congress candidate Ravneet Bittu would not be able to reach the vote count of 2014.

The SAD-BJP candidate claimed that there was a tsunami in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Coupled with the support of SAD cadres, the alliance will win from here, as elsewhere in the state, by a record margin, he added.

Interacting with reporters, Grewal said the entire rank and file of the SAD-BJP had worked overtime to make the campaign a grand success.

“Now, the final test is on May 19, when each one of us will have to ensure that every vote is cast,” he appealed to the people.

Grewal claimed that the election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister was a foregone conclusion.

“Please do not repeat the 2014 mistake and ensure that your representative belongs to the ruling party at the Centre to ensure full-fledged development of the constituency,” he said.

The SAD-BJP alliance candidate thanked all workers and leaders for their untiring commitment and hard work during the past one month and urged them not to rest till the last vote was cast.
