Senior vice-president of the SAD and candidate for Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat, Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, today cautioned people against the political ‘seasonal’ birds, who come and go with the change of seasons.

Addressing workers’ meetings in the Jagraon Assembly segment here today, he said those who had promised to bring revolution and change the system had simply vanished in thin air.

He said he had accepted the people’s choice with grace and dignity. Grewal, however, told them to exercise their choice with utmost caution.

He was accompanied by former legislator SR Kler, AISSF leader Gurcharan Singh Grewal and SGPC member Harsurinder Singh Gill, besides other leading figures of the area.

“We respected and accepted your choice and your decision in 2017 as you have every right to exercise your choice, but now you can think at ease, without any bias whether that choice was appropriate,” he said while urging people that the SAD and its ally BJP were “tried and tested” alliance of the Punjabis, which had always kept the state’s interest above everything else.

Appealing to the people to vote for the SAD-BJP alliance, he said the non-performance of the Congress government in Punjab during the past two years should be a reason enough for the voters to make the right choice.

“The Congress government is just trying to hide its failures by claiming lack of finances, which is a lie,” the Akali leader added.
