New-age fathers cook, share equal responsibilities with their better half and spend time with their children.

They have transformed into being the coolest dads and apparently, are the new ‘wonder woman’ of the house. From changing diapers to clothes, raising a newborn doesn’t scare today’s father.

Varun Jain (28) knew no bounds when he became a ‘father’ a year-and-a-half ago. He shares: “I was numb for five minutes until I realised that I have become a father. My hands trembled as I lifted the tiny being in my arms. He is mine, I thought to myself and smiled. The fatherly instincts kicked in the very moment I embraced him. After 2-3 months, he started becoming more active. He used to be wide awake at night and sleep all day. I wish I could change my shift just to enjoy with him.”

Jain added: “Usually, I change his diapers and clothes in the night as my wife gets tired. It is important for mothers to rest and let fathers take on the charge. I have also changed my habits, as I believe that children tend to imitate their parents.”

His wife Ayushi Jain shares: “Vihaan is closer to his father and Varun is overprotective. He doesn’t let Vihaan do anything that can harm him.”

Kartik Ahuja (25) shares a unique bond with his daughter. His life changed after his daughter Mannat was born. Kartik and Mannat do lots of fun together. He narrates and often enacts stories to her at bedtime, which Mannat loves. Ahuja shares: “Not even a single day goes without pampering my daughter. I believe in equal work and I do not hesitate in raising my child. There are times when my wife is occupied with daily chores and I take care of Mannat.”

Similarly, for Abhinav Kumar, tending to his child is the best thing in the world for there is no better profession than nurturing a child. The 27-year-old shares: “My son is 2-year-old and we have a great bond already. From becoming a monkey to a turtle for him, I have imitated everyone. He truly loves my company. I never thought I will enjoy fatherhood so much.”
