Employees of the Nagar Panchayat, Khamano, took out a protest march in the town in support of their pending demands.

The employees led by union president Harwinder Singh Kang marched in the town and alleged that the state government was trying to force new pension scheme that was not in the interests of employees. They demanded to continue old pension scheme so that the interests of the employees could be safeguarded.

Balwinder Kaur, president of sweeper union, demanded that the employees working for the past many years should be made regular and also demanded termination of contractual system. The employees stated that their demands should be accepted without any further delay. They warned that if their demands were not met, they will be forced to intensify their struggle.

Bahadar Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Harpreet Singh and other employees were also present during flag march.
