Mr India Bodybuilding Championship on February 4; 300 participants expected

Ludhiana:Around 300 participants are expected to compete in the Mr India Bodybuilding Championship scheduled to be held here at Nehru Sidhant Kendra near Bhaiwala Chowk, Pakhowal Road, on February 4. This was announced by Padma Shri awardee and former Mr World Prem Chand Dogra at a press conference held by the Punjabi Amateur Bodybuilding Association (PABA) at the Circuit House here on Tuesday. The former world champion said during this championship, competition in the junior section for the Mr India Junior (U-21) and Mr India besides in the masters’ section (40-50 years), (50-60 years) and above 60 years would be conducted by PABA in association with Aura Gym under the aegis of the Indian Bodybuilders’ Federation. Besides, competition for the physically challenged participants in the below 65-kg and above 65-kg weight categories would also be organised simultaneously. Ramesh Bangar, Sukhdev Singh Sodhi, Monu Sabharwal, Amarjeet Singh, Kiranpreet Singh, Raghu Raj Sharma, Jasvir Singh Jassi, Gurjeet Singh Sheru, Sukhpreet Aulakh, Surinder Brar and Jagdish Pal were among others present. — OC
