More seats for nursing in DBU

KHANNA: The Punjab Nursing Registration council (PNRC) and the Government of Punjab have decided to enhance the number of nursing courses seats in Desh Bhagat University (DBU).

The Punjab Nursing Registration council (PNRC) and the Government of Punjab have decided to enhance the number of nursing courses seats in Desh Bhagat University (DBU). Now, DBU has permission to admit more students in nursing courses for the academic session 2018-19.

The Punjab Nursing Registration Council (PNRC) and the Government of Punjab have approved the proposal of Desh Bhagat University to enhance seats in GNM from 60 to 100 and that in BSc Nursing from 60 to 100 seats.

Disclosing the information, Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said, ‘The Punjab Government has accepted the recommendation of PNRC and conveyed its approval to allow admitting more students in Nursing courses in GNM (100 seats) and BSc Nursing (100 seats) vide letter number 2/54/2016-3MER3/ 55-57 date 02.01.2018, for the academic session 2018-19.

Dr Singh expressed his gratitude to the Government of Punjab and PNRC for granting the approval. He congratulated the management, Principal, staff and students of the institute for this achievement. He also added that it was a milestone in the field of nursing. He thanked all those who extended their support to the endeavor.
