MLA raises issue of bad condition of road in Assembly

LUDHIANA: The Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal (SAD-B) vice-president and party legislator from Sahnewal segment, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, today raised the issue of bad condition of the Ludhiana-Rahon road in Sahnewal segment in the Assembly.

The Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal (SAD-B) vice-president and party legislator from Sahnewal segment, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, today raised the issue of bad condition of the Ludhiana-Rahon road in Sahnewal segment in the Assembly.

Dhillon briefed the Public Works Department Minister, Vijayinder Singla, about the deplorable condition of the 3-km stretch on the Ludhiana side of the road. The Minister assured the Sahnewal MLA that the repair of the particular section of the road would commence within a week and proposed work of laying interlocking tiles would be taken in hand later.

Dhillon said Singla had promised that repair of the road would be done on priority basis and the subsequent construction of the stretch would be taken up next. The people might resort to agitation if the road was not immediately repaired .
