Missing kids found in gurdwara, police quash abduction case

The Machhiwara police claimed to have found two minor cousins from the Gurduwara Hazoor Sahib. Both minors were missing from Kotala bet village from June 13 under mysterious circumstances.

The two were identified as Gursewak Singh (13) and Gurpreet Singh (14). The police had also registered a case of abduction in this regard.

According to Machhiwara SHO Bhupinder Singh, they were trying their best to recover the minors. The SHO said, the police had sent their photos to different police stations but remained clueless.

He said the police came to know that Gurpreet Singh had visited to the gurdwara. After this information, a police party of Machhiwara was sent to the gurdwara and the police party spent two days there to search him.

At last both the minors were spotted in a room and the police party brought them back to their home at Machhiwara where they were handed over to Narinder Singh, father of Gursewak Singh.

After initial enquiry, the police found the minors ran away from their home and were living in the gurdwara.

The SHO said, according to the family members, the kids were naughty by nature. The case registered in this regard would be cancelled after completing some formalities.
