Mini marathon on December 8

LUDHIANA: The inaugural edition of the Hampton Homes Mini Marathon is scheduled to be held on December 8. The run is being organised by the Krishna Pran Charitable Trust.

Ludhiana, December 6

The inaugural edition of the Hampton Homes Mini Marathon is scheduled to be held on December 8. The run is being organised by the Krishna Pran Charitable Trust.

Participants will take part in the 10-km run, the motto of which is Fight for Fitness. The run will start at 6 am from Hampton Court Business Park on Ludhiana-Chandigarh Road.

The main objective of organising this event is to apprise people of how important is to remain fit and avoid obesity.

Along the route, proper arrangements have been made for medical requirements, traffic and security related issues, a press release said.

The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 while the first runners-up will get a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and the third position holder will pocket a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Besides, first 30 runners will get vouchers of apparel brand Femella. In addition to this, all participants will be given certificates, T-shirts and medals, the release read.
