A milk seller allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan yesterday. The police have booked nine persons in this regard.

The deceased has been identified as Sooraj (28), a resident of Khanna.

As per information, Sooraj had owed money to someone and was facing pressure.

Rajinder Singh, father of the deceased, stated to the police that Sooraj was under mental pressure as he had to repay some money to about nine persons and they were putting pressure on his son.

The investigating officer, ASI Sarjangdeep Singh, of the Khanna-2 police station said the police had recovered a suicide note.

They have registered a case under Section 306 of the IPC against nine persons, including Kaka Vapari, Sukhi, Popy, Kinder, Bala, mother of Billo, wife of Gazi, Sushma and Manish.

The body of the deceased was handed over to his family after post-mortem. The deceased is survived by his two minor sons and wife.
