Ludhiana, January 4

A meeting was held between senior officers of the Municipal Corporation’s Drawing Branch and office-bearers of The Indian Institute of Architects to expedite the process of online approval of building maps at the Ludhiana MC Zone D office on Friday.

A delegation of architects, led by its Punjab chapter Chairman Sanjay Goel, who is also one of the directors of the Ludhiana Smart City Limited, interacted with MTP Monika Anand, ATP (headquarters) SS Bindra and other officials.

Goel said the data of all architects of Punjab was shared. The meeting was attended by several architects. “If the online system is strongly implemented, best of the buildings can be constructed. It was decided to organise a few quick meetings of architects to clear doubts for online approvals and the next workshop will held in Zone A on January 7,” said Goel.

Notably, the Local Government has asked the MC and the Regional Deputy Director to make arrangements for training for the online building plan system. Architects and engineers would attend the training session on January 7.
