A 10-year-old boy was admitted to the Machhiwara Civil Hospital on Friday after he was allegedly castrated by a man who had employed him.

The police have registered a case under Section 295 and 326 of the IPC against Imran, a rehri owner, who is a resident of UP. He was currently residing in Machhiwara. SHO Rajesh Kumar said the child told the police that he hailed from UP and his mother died some time ago, after which his father got married again.

After being abandoned by his father, the child somehow reached Machhiwara and started working with the accused, who belonged to a Muslim community. The boy started staying with him at his house.

Two days ago, the accused asked the child to convert to his religion, failing which he castrated him with a sharp weapon. As the child could not bear the pain, he ran away from his house and narrated the incident to some members of the Canter Union, who then took him to the hospital. The SHO said the accused had escaped from his house and would be arrested soon.
