Man behind 10 cases of ATM fraud nabbed

LUDHIANA: The Jamalpur police have nabbed a con man who fraudulently withdrew cash from the accounts of his victims after exchanging their ATM cards.

The Jamalpur police have nabbed a con man who fraudulently withdrew cash from the accounts of his victims after exchanging their ATM cards. The police claimed to have solved 10 cases of ATM fraud with his arrest.

The suspect has been identified as Shubham Jain of Jain Colony, Daba Road. Additional DCP Ajinderpal Singh addressed a press conference on the matter today.

The ADCP said on October 9, Shubham exchanged the ATM of Bhawna Gupta of Chandigarh Road on the pretext of helping her withdraw money at a booth. Later, he withdrew Rs 10,000 from her account. The police have recovered Rs 8,000 and a fake ATM card from him. — TNS
