A mega MACHMA exhibition was held here today. It was jointly inaugurated by Sanjay Talwar, MLA, Ludhiana along with other eight ambassadors, H E Gabriel P Sinimbo, High Commissioner, Namibia High Commission, H E Major General Chris Sunday Eze (Rtd.), High Commissioner, Nigeria High Commission, Josophine Patricia Ntyam Ehya, First Counsellor / Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Gabon, Serge Thierry Mandoukou, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Gabon, Souleymane Boureima, Counsellor Embassy of the Niger, Brian Mwale Saka, First Secretary-Economic & Trade, High Commission of Zambia, H E Stella Budiriganya, Ambassador, Embassy of Burundi and Margaret Kedisi, Minister Counsellor, Uganda High Commission. They also shared their thoughts about Indian industry.

They also visited the expo and supervised the latest developments in the machinery and various products displayed by the exhibitors. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU mentioned that purpose inviting the African Embassy representative is to show them products made in Ludhiana, African Countries are trying to setup MSME Industries in their Countries. It will help the Low Industry to Increase Export to African countries.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said the expo witnessed participation of more than 300 exhibitors and on the first day 10,000 products attracted over 15,000 visitors. He said this expo will open new boundaries for Industries and enhance the business in domestic as well as the international market. Sanjay Talwar, MLA, Ludhiana said that the Punjab Government has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the development of the Focal Point roads.
