Leisure Valley rink hosts roller-skating competition

LUDHIANA: Around 150 skaters (boys and girls) from different schools and academies took part in the Roller Skating Competition organised by the Kido-Fit Sports Academy at the Leisure Valley Skating Rink, Sarabha Nagar, here on Sunday. These participants vied for top honours in different age groups. The winners were awarded medals and certificates. Sahil Chhabra, director of the organising academy, was the chief guest. Gurpreet Singh Hunjan, organising secretary, along with Arshdeep Singh, Vinod Kumar, Chander Jassal, Damanpret Singh, Rajbir Singh Bajwa and Nirbhay Singh Gill assisted in conducting the competition.

• Boys (8-10 years) Inline 1,500 race: 1st Barkat Sodhi of DAV Public School, 2nd Kinshuk Goyal of DAV Public School and 3rd Saksham Sharma of DAV Public School
• Boys (10-12 years) 500-m race quads: 1st Armaan of Delhi Public School, 2nd Kuvam of BCM Arya Model School and 3rd Manas of Green Land Senior Secondary School
• Girls (12-14 years) 300-m race quads: 1st Aarushi Duggal of BCM School, 2nd Simardeep Kaur of BCM School and Khushnuma Sharma of Partap Public School.
• Girls (14-16 years) Inline 1,000-m race: 1st Jasleen Kaur of Guru Nanak Public School and 2nd Rishva of Sacred Heart Convent School.
