City student Uday Singla got all-India rank (AIR) 122 in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main) while another student Gun Sagar Singh managed to get AIR 755.
Uday Singla wishes to opt for computer or electrical engineering. A student of Alpine International School, he said, “My dream institute is the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.”
An elated Dimple Singla, Uday’s mother, said she would always find her son studying and he would never attend functions or parties.
“He was consistent towards his goal. The best part was that he was never dependent upon me for waking him up for studies. In the morning, he would wake up before me and would never disturb me. It was only when I would wake up that he would ask for something to eat. Being focused towards his goal made him achieve success,” she said.
Uday’s father is a businessman while his mother is a homemaker. Uday used to study for 8-10 hours daily and owes his success to his parents and teacher Vikas at Aakash Institute from where he took coaching.
Gun Sagar Singh, a student of Guru Nanak International Public School, plans to opt for mechanical stream. “My dream is to take admission in the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi,” he said.
Unlike Uday, Gun Sagar’s study pattern was not consistent. “It was different on every day. Some days, it was four hours and on others, it was seven hours,” he added.
Uday’s father is a banker and his mother is a homemaker. He owes his success to his parents and teachers at his institute.
Centre head of Aakash Institute, Vikas, was elated at the success these boys.
“It is their hand work, dedication and our guidance, which helped them achieve success. I wish both make it big in their life,” said he.
Shreya Gupta from DCM Presidency School secured 99.46 percentile in JEE (Mains).
