LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) scored the third win a row in the boys’ U-19 category during the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Schools Basketball Tournament being held at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Monday.

The Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) scored the third win a row in the boys’ U-19 category during the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Schools Basketball Tournament being held at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Monday. The academy players proved their mettle as they outperformed Patiala district 50-38.

In another match (U-19 section), Patiala Wing registered an easy 71-45 victory over Amritsar while in the boys U-17 group, Patiala Wing and Ludhiana scripted comprehensive wins.

The Patiala Wing beat Amritsar 54-37 and the Ludhiana Wing stunned the Punjab Institute of Sports (PIS), Mohali, 83-47.

In other matches (U-19), the Ghuda Wing survived several anxious moments against Ludhiana district before winning it 64-61, while PIS, Mohali, overpowered Jalandhar district 65-62 whereas in the U-17 category, Bathinda survived a scare before getting the better of Fatehgarh Sahib 52-51.
