The SAD-BJP candidate from the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat, Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, today asked the sitting MP and the Congress candidate Ranveet Singh Bittu to spell out the promises the Congress government had fulfilled after completion of two years in power.

Addressing election meetings in Gurdev Nagar, Atam Nagar and Shimlapuri, he alleged that the Congress government led by Capt Amarinder Singh had failed to address the issues of drug addiction, waiving loans of farmers and providing jobs to youth and free mobile phones among many other promises made by him to the people at the time of Assembly elections.

The SAD leader charged Bittu with failure to bring these issues to the notice of the government.

“There are enough funds with the Government of India for various schemes, which are distributed and allotted irrespective of the party affiliations, for various places and constituencies. But the Ludhiana MP felt satisfied by spending Rs 25 crore out of his MPLAD fund. It is no great achievement,” he maintained.
