LUDHIANA: On the directions of the district administration, National Dengue Day was observed at Government Senior Secondary School, Chak Kalan.

On the directions of the district administration, National Dengue Day was observed at Government Senior Secondary School, Chak Kalan.

RP Bhatia, SMO of the Koomkalan block, said dengue prevention and control was everyone’s responsibility. He said dengue was a common viral disease spread by mosquito bite. It is transmitted by mosquito called Aedes Aegypti.

Rural Medical Officer Anand Malhotra further explained that dengue and chikungunya are preventable diseases and stressed upon the use of mosquito nets and repellents. — TNS
