GMT School registers 5-wicket win over PAU Centre

Ludhiana, June 19

A brilliant performance with bat by Munish and Rishi, while marvelous bowling by Vivek, helped GMT Public School, Jalandhar bypass, to beat the PAU Centre by five wickets in the first BCM Premier Cricket League being held at BCM Senior Secondary School ground, Sector-32, on Wednesday.

Batting first after winning the toss, the PAU Centre made 107 in 20 overs with Manas scoring 36 runs off 30 balls. Rohan Kakkar made 11 runs in eight balls and Saransh Ohri contributed nine runs.

For GMT School, Vivek bowled four overs, got three wickets for 16 runs and Deshbir captured two wickets for 18 runs while Pankaj grabbed one wicket for 14 runs.

GMT Public School made the required runs in 18.2 overs after losing five wickets. Munish was top scorer with 46 runs off 41 balls, followed by Rishi who made 23 in 28 balls while Deshbir remained unbeaten on 14 runs that came off six balls.

For the losing side, Manish, Rohan Kakkar and Saransh Ohri got rid of one batsman each after conceding 31, 28 and 6 runs, respectively.

Munish of GMT Public School was declared man of the match.
