GLADA collects Rs 14.79 crore

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) raked in a little more than Rs 14.79 crore from sale of the five properties through e-auction, which concluded last evening.

Two shop-cum-offices (SCOs) in Dhandari Kalan, Phase IV, two residential plots in Sector 39-A on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road and one cinema site in Dugri, Phase II, were sold at a marginal premium of nearly nine per cent over their reserve price of Rs 14.66 crore.

According to GLADA Estate Officer Sonam Chaudhry, two SCOs in Dhandari Kalan, Phase IV, with floor area of 137.24 sq metre each, were sold for Rs 1,04,676 and Rs 1,04,876 per sq metre, respectively, against their reserve price of Rs 1,04,476 per sq metre.

Two residential plots measuring 177.04 sq metre each in Sector 39-A on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road were purchased for Rs 35,000 and Rs 35,100 per sq metre against their reserve price of Rs 32,150 per sq metre.

One cinema site with an area of 1486 sq metre in Dugri, Phase II, fetched a price of Rs 71,833 against the floor price of R 71,733.

GLADA had put on the block in all 20 properties worth Rs 42.63 crore for sale through an e-auction conducted from January 1 to 10. These include seven SCOs in Dhandari Kalan, three each in Dugri, Phase II/III, and Dugri, Phase II/III, bypass road, three booths in Dugri, Phase II/III, three residential plots in Sector 39-A and one cinema site.

No bids were offered for five SCOs in Dhandari, six SCOs and three booths in Dugri, Phase II/III, besides one residential plots (measuring 378.78 sq metre) in Sector 39-A, said GLADA officials.

These unsold properties, along with some others, would be sold in the next e-auction to be held in February, they added.
