GADVASU holds seminar on diet of milch cows

LUDHIANA: Dr Jasmine Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Nutrition, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, attended the 22nd Punjab Science Congress, on ‘Innovating Science and Technology in the Service of Society’ organised by DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) in association with IKG PTU under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala.

Dr Jasmine Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Nutrition, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, attended the 22nd Punjab Science Congress, on ‘Innovating Science and Technology in the Service of Society’ organised by DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) in association with IKG PTU under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala.

Around 350 papers were presented by renowned scientists, academicians and researchers in three days. The research paper entitled ‘Evaluation of Phalaris minor seeds in the diet of milch cows as partial energy supplement” presented by Dr Jasmine Kaur was adjudged the ‘Best Poster’ in the track of medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr Jasmine Kaur was bestowed with a certificate, medal and cash prize.

Dr Manju Wadhwa, Head, Department of Animal Nutrition, congratulated Dr Jasmine Kaur. It is pertinent to mention that Vet varsity is doing extensive work on the evaluation of novel feedstuffs for ruminants. This will help to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of feedstuffs. — TNS
