Ludhiana July 13

A youth was allegedly shot at by two motorcycle-borne miscreants at Sector 32, Chandigarh Road, on late Thursday evening.

However, the victim did not sustain any bullet injury in the incident.

The police were yet to register a case, but a probe has been initiated.

Deepak Kumar (26), son of a local businessman, told the police that he was playing in the area when two motorcycle-borne youths fired at him. Fortunately, he did not sustain any injury as the bullet zinged past his ear. He said his friends tried to chase the motorcycle, but in vain.

Harbhajan Singh, in-charge of the Ramgarh police post, said he had immediately reached the spot and recorded the statement of the complainant. “CCTV cameras are being checked, but no miscreant has come to our notice so far. In fact, cartridges were also not recovered from the spot. We will register a case after completing a probe,” he said.
