Ludhiana, June 26

Financiers exploiting people must be brought to book, said CPI members adding that they have complained to the police officials, including the Police Commissioner, in this regard.

They said there were several cases, where people were being exploited. Stating about one such case, they said Daddu, financing auto-rickshaws, was extorting money more than the financed amount from people. He also resorted to thrashing people to whom he lent money.

They said they got a case registered under FIR 0093 on June 23.

They got several complaints filed against him but since February no action was taken against him.

District CPI members said this indicates that he may be doing this under some political or police patronage.

They demanded that action must be taken against all such financiers so that they don’t carry on with such criminal and illegal activities.
