The police have booked SAD leader Harpreet Bedi and three others in a case of alleged kidnapping. Bedi is the husband of former councillor from Ward No. 57 Veeran Bedi.

The complainant, Subhash Chand Bansal, who works at a petrol station, said he was kidnapped and taken to the office of former councillor at Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar.

Bansal, who is from Bathinda, said he was earlier running a business of water purifiers and he had taken a loan of Rs 1 lakh from a person, named Harminder Singh, of Rajguru Nagar. As he suffered losses, he could not return the money, Bansal told the police.
