Ludhiana, July 17

Ludhiana Runners, a group of passionate runners, will organise ‘R|Elan™ Ludhiana 10K Run – Run for a Greener City’ on July 28 on the Punjab Agricultural University campus.

The run will be conducted under three different categories – 10-km run is targeted at passionate athletes of the city. Fitness enthusiasts who regularly exercise and walk can participate in a 5-km run, while 3-km run is aimed at those who are willing to inculcate the habit of walk and run.

Ludhiana Runners has made arrangements to provide R|Elan™? Kooltex t-shirts, medals to all participants and refreshments will be served after the run.

While sharing his views on the run, President of the Ludhiana Runners Piyush Chopra said, “As our nation has taken a giant leap towards the economic and industrial development, there is rising concern about pollution and environment. We have decided to bring the health enthusiasts and environment conservationists on a common platform for spreading the awareness among people about accepting the responsibilities in reducing the pollution and conserving the environment. We are expecting a participation of more than 800 people in this run.”

Ludhiana Runners was formed in 2015 and many members of the group are frequent participants in half and full marathons, held both at the national and international levels. The motto of the group is to motivate more people towards good health
